CRITERIA FOR ALIGNMENT

Back
  1. Operational Integration
POWDER HOUSE structurally eliminates all routes for the generation or release of persistent organic pollutants (POPs). It does not use combustion, chemical synthesis, chlorinated compounds, solvents, or any industrial processes known to produce dioxins, furans, PCBs, or other POPs. The system is dry, mechanical, and closed, making the prevention of POPs an embedded operational outcome, not an external compliance task.
  2. Measurable and Non-Substitutable Contribution
By avoiding reactive substances, POWDER HOUSE prevents all known pathways of unintentional POP formation. It does not rely on inhibitors, scrubbers, or end-of-pipe filters—it simply never creates the conditions under which POPs can emerge. This contribution is structurally non-substitutable: conventional systems would require chemical redesign and complex mitigation to achieve similar outcomes.
  3. Structural (Not Cosmetic) Character
There are no reputational claims or marketing efforts centered on POP elimination. Rather, the absence of these substances is a direct result of a system designed to function without combustion, halogenated materials, or synthetic additives. The POP-free profile is not stated—it is inherent, unavoidable, and verifiable in the model’s engineering.
  4. Full Lifecycle Impact
From input biomass to product end-of-life, the system guarantees that no persistent pollutants are introduced. Inputs are post-harvest, food-grade residues. No chemicals are applied during processing. Final products are dry, shelf-stable, biodegradable, and free from any POP precursors. Post-use, there is no risk of bioaccumulation, toxicity, or environmental dispersion.
  5. Coherence with the True Purpose of the Treaty
The Stockholm Convention seeks not just to control POPs, but to prevent their formation and environmental persistence. POWDER HOUSE achieves this at the structural level, offering a regenerative industrial model that renders POPs not just absent, but technically impossible. It is a post-POP system by design, fully aligned with the treaty’s scientific and ethical mandates.
  6. Visible and Independent Evidence
The POWDER HOUSE´s productive process shows that no POPs are used or produced, no combustion or catalysis occurs, and no listed substances or precursors are present. There are no emissions, residues, or persistent materials requiring mitigation. While this internal information is comprehensive, technically consistent, and fully aligned with the treaty’s structural requirements, it has not yet been formally audited by an independent third party. Accordingly, this criterion is considered partially fulfilled.
