POWDER HOUSE MAJOR MILESTONES

POWDER HOUSE, an innovation-driven company focused on R&D and committed to environmental stewardship, is a member of a prestigious local business consortium. Founded in 2021, POWDER HOUSE was established with the mission to develop and lead a Strategic Collaboration Agreement between its local business consortium and renowned vineyards from Chile’s Maipo Valley. This initiative also integrated strategic alliances with leading R&D centers at preeminent universities, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to the agreement. The primary objective was to develop a technological framework capable of producing functional ingredients from grape pomace sourced from partner vineyards in (…)

(…) the Valle del Maipo region, targeting applications in the food, cosmetic, nutraceutical, and nutricosmetic industries. Operating in the globally renowned Maipo Valley viticultural region, celebrated for its naturally elevated polyphenol concentration in Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, POWDER HOUSE leveraged the region’s distinctive geoclimatic conditions, whose grapes yield a bioactive profile that is unmatched in potency, making its grape pomace an unparalleled raw material for next-generation functional ingredients. The company’s first major milestone was the design of the Agro-Waste Upcycling Model, an innovative system developed to upcycle Cabernet Sauvignon grape pomaces from partner vineyards. Engineered as a high-productivity—at least twentyfold greater than that of conventional physical-mechanical  concentration  technologies—low-energy consumption  process, the model  employs  advanced  physical-mechanical  technologies  rooted  in  materials and particle science and was initially implemented at a pilot industrial scale. The second major milestone was the development of biogrape™, an ultrafine functional ingredient (~P90 = 20 µm) rich in phytochemicals and dietary fibers. The third major milestone was the successful industrial scaling of the Agro-Waste Upcycling Model, representing    a    breakthrough   in    bioactive   ingredient production   by   overcoming (…)

(…) the limitations of conventional physical-mechanical concentration processes. The fourth major milestone was the development of a self-microencapsulation  technology, designed   to  shield   bioactive  compounds   from premature gastric degradation~~, and confer while conferring each ultrafine encapsulated particle with autonomous functionality, enabling self-regulated optimization of bioactive release and absorption in response to prevailing gastrointestinal conditions. The fifth major milestone was the formal institutionalization by POWDER HOUSE of its four structural sustainability standards, generated as a direct outcome of its process architecture: Residue-Free, Chemical-Free, Water-Free, and Manipulation-Free. Residue-Free ensures complete elimination of waste generation; Chemical-Free guarantees the absence of chemicals; Water-Free signifies operation entirely without the use of water; and Manipulation-Free eliminates direct human contact with biomaterials during processing. This ensures that all functional ingredients maintain pristine purity, optimal efficiency, and consistent performance, as the inevitable and intrinsic outcome of the Agro-Waste Upcycling Model’s internal process architecture. This seamless integration of efficiency, circular economy principles, and environmental responsibility   underscores   the   model’s   inherent   sustainability    and   technological (…)

(…) sophistication. Through continuous investment in R&D, eco-conscious production methodologies, and large-scale industrial scalability, POWDER HOUSE not only strategically participates in the evolution of the functional ingredient sector but also sets new benchmarks in sustainable health and wellness solutions, proving  that scientific ingenuity, industrial  efficiency, and  environmental  responsibility can coexist as fundamental pillars of next-generation industrialization.
